Subject          : Replacing cyclones 

 

On behalf of Albemarle BV under the project name " Safe Dust Project" de-mounting work was carried out for the replacement of 8 cyclones including the associated ductwork and carrying out all associated vertical and horizontal transport.

In view of a possible presence of light (natural) radioactive radiation during the opening of the cyclones, the persons concerned were extensively informed about this in advance and during the work which was performed under strict safety requirements and using the appropriate protective materials under continuous supervision by an NRG radiation expert.

Also given that the dismantling and lifting work was carried out in an operational plant, a comprehensive lifting plan was prepared for this purpose.
