Subject : install 2 pieces of new NSA installations
Zwart Techniek BV at IJmuiden has received an order from Global Swich for the supply of 2 NSA installations for the expansion of the current data center in Amsterdam.
Given the required capacity, two existing Wartsila ship engines were adapted for this purpose and loaded in Zwolle, weighing 64 tons each, transport height 4.00 meters and transported by road to the location in Amsterdam in accordance with the necessary permits, whereby we built a temporary platform construction in view of the fact that the floor of the technical area is 1.50 meters above ground level.
The challenge was partly due to the fact that once in the technical room, the equipment, which had to be rotated 70 degrees by means of a hydraulic carriage system, had to be placed in its installation position.
For this purpose, in cooperation with Leo van Oostrum, a turntable was developed which makes it possible to continuously and hydraulically turn the installation in the technical room.
The work was completed in 4 working days.
