Industrial movements

Industrial movements

Industrial relocations typically involve moving heavy and large machinery internally or externally. This includes individual machines as well as entire production lines. Production relocation and new site setups are often what this is required for.

If you are looking for an experienced and reliable party to move your machinery, feel free to contact us for more information.

What types of industrial moves do we typically perform

Typically, the industrial moves we perform are within the following sectors:

We have 50+ years of experience in industrial relocation, in these 50+ years we have relieved many different industries with their relocation. Please feel free to contact us to discuss all the possibilities for your situation.

Industrial displacement process

1. Inventory and technical preparation

Before the plan for industrial relocation can be made, a thorough inventory and technical preparation must be done. This is to find out exactly what is needed for the relocation and to look for risks before it poses a danger to personnel or machinery.

2. Project plan and relocation strategy.

After the inventory and technical preparation, a relocation strategy must be created and a project plan drawn up. This will list (in brief) the timeline, equipment needed, personnel required and risks to watch out for.

3. Safe shutdown and disconnection

Once the project plan is fully developed, it is time to disassemble the machines. Before the machines can be disassembled, they must first be disconnected to avoid residual energy, which can be dangerous.

4. Disassembly and preparation for relocation

Then the disconnected machines can be disassembled. Everything is carefully and accurately disassembled by our experienced personnel, loose components are labeled and duly packed for relocation.

5. Move safely

It is obviously important that the machines are moved outside safely to prevent damage to the premises, machines and personnel. Special equipment appropriate to the situation is used for this purpose.

6. External transportation

Now that the machines have been moved outside, they must be put on the appropriate loaders for transport. Transportation requires a plan, not only route planning to avoid bottlenecks, but also coordination with the municipalities being crossed.

7. Assembly

Arriving at the new location, it is time for assembly. The machines are moved inside and properly positioned. Then the machines are neatly assembled and coupled. Only after tests have been run and the machines work as in the old location (or even better) is the project successful.

Packaging and protection

It is very important - especially for sensitive machines - to properly package the machines and loose components. This serves as protection against bumps during transport, possible moisture from the weather and more.

The machines in the new location must work as they did in the old location, or better. Therefore, it is essential for us to move everything as safely as possible and avoid damage.

Safety and packaging

Temporary storage

There are times when the old premises have to be vacated and the new premises are not yet ready for use. In that case, temporary storage must be used for the machines so that they are safe until they can be installed at the new location.

We offer a facility for temporary conditioned storage of the machines. Thus, we ensure that the machines are in the optimal environment and do not suffer corrosion due to humidity, temperatures or other factors.

Reduce production downtime

For many companies, it is important that production not come to a complete halt. Companies like this are often moved in phases, this means moving in stages.

For example, this may involve moving one of the two production lines while the other is still running. Once the first is moved and running, the second is moved. But it can also involve different production stage lines, so that the remaining machines continue to run until the other is running at the new location.

Please contact us to discuss all options in this regard.
