Lifting operations industry, What exactly we do
We specialize in lifting heavy industrial machinery. When ordinary means fall short, we lift and move heavy machines to their place. Often this involves moving the machines to a new location, but this can also be an internal move.
Almost every industrial-sized move - internal and external - requires specialized lifting. This may involve maneuvering in narrow spaces, moving around rotating machinery and working personnel as well as using specialized lifting equipment.
Thus, we ensure the safety of personnel and machines. Are you looking for an experienced partner for your lifting activities? Then contact us to discuss the possibilities!
Lifting industry both indoor and outdoor
We provide vertical transport in a diversity of lifting operations, for both internal and external movements, for this we use an extensive range of lifting equipment to ensure security and safety. Our extensive range of lifting equipment can be equipped with a wide range of auxiliary materials.
Hoisting indoors and outdoors brings its own challenges. Indoor hoisting often means tight spaces. Limited room to move and height, and there are often all kinds of other machinery or pipes in the way. There are many more challenges that must be taken into account, and in addition, each project is unique with unique challenges that require unique solutions.
Outdoor hoisting takes place on open ground or outside a building. Here we often have more space for larger cranes, but here other factors become important. For example, we have to consider the surroundings. Traffic, passersby, obtaining permits for road closures and other outdoor obstacles such as trees or lampposts.
What industries we work for
Our lifting operations are used in a variety of industries. In the industrial sector such as: metal, plastic, or chemical industries, we help move and install heavy machinery or factory parts.
In the food industry, we hoist machines in production environments where hygiene is a top priority and has very strict requirements. In the pharmaceutical industry, we work with lab and process equipment that is often not only heavy, but also costly and fragile.
Each industry has its own concerns, for example, an active manufacturing environment needs tight scheduling so as not to interfere with operations, while the pharmaceutical industry has strict protocols and cleaning requirements.
These are some examples of sectors we work in. From the beginning of Nedmove until now we have been working in many different sectors, here only the most “known” sectors are mentioned. Would you like to know what the possibilities are for your sector? Then please contact us.
What machines we hoist
We can hoist a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment. The most common machines are:
Heavy production machines such as: presses, milling and CNC machines, large motors or generators, and even complete production lines. Hoisting a large printing press or assembly line out of a printing plant is also among the possibilities.
In the logistics industry, we move heavy warehouse equipment, such as conveyor belts or storage racks, if they need to be moved. In the food and pharmaceutical industries, for example, we lift stainless steel mixing kettles, packaging or filling machines and other equipment that must be handled very carefully.
Virtually any object that is too large and/or heavy to move with manpower or a standard forklift, we can safely lift and position with lifting equipment.
The lifting equipment we use
Mobile hydraulic cranes for lifting operations industry
In doing so, we have at our disposal a modern fleet of cranes with the capacities of 35 to 250 tons. Do you need a mobile crane for a job? For reliable, safe and high-quality mobile cranes and mobile lifting work, you can turn to Nedmove. Nedmove is engaged in various activities and has developed into the specialist in the field of mobile lifting. Do you need cranes for hoisting, lifting and transporting? We have experience with the very largest projects and offer a total package for lifting work. You can always rely on innovative solutions, correct execution and expert guidance for lifting operations.
Mobile tower cranes for lifting operations industry
Given the relatively short set-up time and the fact that these types of cranes are ideally suited for moving the load over a long distance where an arrangement in a limited space is possible by means of boom lengths from 30 to 60 meters.
Aerial platforms for lifting operations industry
For the purpose of work at height requiring a stable and safe working platform such as replacing awnings or the/assembly of antennas and structures up to a working height of 61 meters.
These are some of our resources that we use in our lifting operations, if you would like to know more about this, you can always contact us.
How do we prepare lifting operations?
Proper preparation is essential in lifting operations. Before lifting, we carry out a thorough risk inventory and planning. We often start with an inspection of the site and the situation: where is the machine located? Where should the machine be located? How much space is there? What is the surface like? Are there any obstacles or hazards?
Then comes the inspection for our lifting equipment: is there enough maneuvering room for the crane? Do machines need to be covered or temporarily moved? Are there low-hanging pipes, sensitive installations or other issues that need to be considered?
Based on the answers to these questions (the inventory), we create a comprehensive and accurate lifting plan. This describes exactly how we will perform the lifting work. Of course, our plan also takes into account timing, such as whether it has to be done during a planned production stop or at the weekend. This plan ensures that everyone involved knows what is going to happen and when it is going to happen.
For more complex projects, we can also prepare a comprehensive project plan that includes, in addition to the lifting itself, such things as transportation, (dis)assembly of the machine and any temporary storage.
How do we ensure safety during lifting operations in the industry?
In all sectors, safety and continuity of business processes are paramount. We tailor our approach to different sectors and unique situations. In a food and pharmaceutical plant, for example, we will work extra clean and make sure no oil or dirt is left behind. While in heavy industrial environments, we pay attention to health and safety requirements.
We work with well-trained, certified professionals. Our crane operators have the necessary diplomas and certifications, and the riggers (the lifting specialists who attach and guide the load) are also experienced professionals. Our experience in all these industries allows us to hoist efficiently and responsibly.
In addition, all of our equipment is inspected and properly maintained. We regularly have our cranes, hoists, lifting belts and other lifting equipment inspected and tested in accordance with current safety requirements.
We always work according to a strict lifting plan that we set up after a thorough risk inventory. This enables us to minimize all risks and keep both personnel and machinery safe.
